Qualifications, Experience and knowledge:Degree in Engineering or Science disciplineMin 3 yrs experience in GSM BSS/RF optimisation Relevant experience in the following: GSM/UMTS specs, Major Equipment Vendor’s Optimisation Features, OSS and hardware Expertise in wide variety of optimisation software tools Highly proficient in Excel, Access, Business Objects Proficient in parameter optimisation In-depth knowledge of GSM System Hardware modules 3G Optimisation experience beneficial Database and programming experience a bonus Roles and responsibilities:Work with development team:Develop, test & improve on the current 2G software solutionDesign, develop & test 2G product roadmap modules Liaise with developers in design of Enterprise 2G /3G architecture Assist in the design & development of software engines and GUIs Troubleshoot design errors from support or customers and make recommendations on fixes Work with clients:Client installations and data preparationPerform capacity audits and report on client network data Support clients in using the tool Manage feedback from clients Support sales by providing necessary technical information Provide training on 2G tool Product design:Modify & customise the design according to specific customer requirementsLiaise with 3G engineers in design & development of 3G software Search for interesting trends and information in network data; devise statistical and other mathematical methods to model portions of access networks Draft user manuals and training documents Modify & customise the design for compatibility with all major equipment vendors |
