Graduate Engineering Role

Qualifications, Experience and knowledge:

Degree in Engineering or Science discipline
Knowledge of MS Office suite of products – Excel, Outlook, Word, Access
Strong analytical maths and statistical skills
Database and programming experience a bonus
Knowledge of Telecommunications, Radio Frequency planning, Network planning a bonus
Excellent communication and team skills

Roles and responsibilities:

The engineer will be responsible for supporting the software developers and network engineers in designing, developing and testing a sophisticated software program for assisting in the planning of mobile networks. The engineer will gain huge knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry, 2G and 3G mobile phone network architecture, Radio and Transmission network planning and optimisation, software development processes and testing environments. The core responsibilities and opportunities include the following: Assist with data analysis, algorithm and prototype development
Test and feedback on software development to developers
Assist in design and layout of tool GUI
Troubleshoot design errors from support or customers
Write support documentation and user manuals
Work alongside experienced 2G and 3G Telecoms engineers to design and develop tool features
Learn and understand the different architecture of major network equipment vendors
International travel for customer support and presentations
