Qualifications
§ Primary Degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
Experience
Required Experience :
§ Min 3 yrs experience in UMTS RF optimisation
§ Extensive experience in the following:
o Huawei UMTS Equipment
o Huawei Features
o Huawei OSS
§ Experience with Capacity Planning for Air Interface and NodeB HW
§ In-depth knowledge of Huawei UMTS System Hardware modules
§ Knowledge of MapInfo, MS Access Databases, Business Objects
§ Strong communication skills
§ Ability to lead teams and work as part of a team
Desirable Experience
§ Other Vendor knowledge (NSN, Ericsson)
§ 2G RAN Optimisation and Capacity Planning experience
§ Product development lifecycle understanding
§ High Level design work
Role Description
The primary role of the Service engineer will work as part of the Service group which is primarily responsible for the delivery of customer projects
Responsibilities
Service:
§ On-site service delivery for customer projects including RAN Performance and Capacity Management.
§ Feature management
§ Perform RF capacity audits and report on client network data
§ Process definition and documentation
§ OSS interaction to extract network configuration and statistical data
Product design:
§ Definition of appropriate metrics and KPIs for performance analysis of Huawei UMTS/GSM networks.
§ Liaise with other engineers in design & development of Huawei UMTS/GSM software.
§ Support sales by providing necessary technical information.
